Researchers at Zscaler describe how APT-36 (also known as Transparent Tribe) abuses Google advertisements for the purpose of malvertising to distribute backdoored versions of Kavach multi-authentication (MFA) applications. APT-36 is an advanced persistent threat group attributed to Pakistan that primarily targets users working at Indian government organizations.
